From Unemployment to Entrepreneurship: How Skill Development is Transforming Lives and Eradicating Poverty in Nepal
Morang, Nepal – In a bold move to combat unemployment and poverty, Helping Heart Nepal has launched a groundbreaking Electric Repair Training Program aimed at equipping unemployeed youth with job-ready technical and soft skills. This initiative is not just about fixing circuits—it’s about fixing futures.
The program provides hands-on training in electrical repair, empowering participants to become self-reliant entrepreneurs or skilled professionals. With a focus on "hard skills for hands-on work" and "soft skills for societal impact", trainees are emerging as dynamic, ethical leaders ready to drive Nepal’s economic growth.
This hands on course will teach participants how to diagnose and fix electrical equipment, while also providing workshops on communication, problem solving, and financial management. Organizers believe that by bridging skill gaps and linking graduates to local job markets, trainees will be able to secure sustainable income and raise their earnings to at least the national average Gross National Income (GNI). In this way, Helping Heart Nepal hopes to cultivate dynamic, conscientious members of society who can drive positive change in their communities.
